Mission Briefing

Lo, a new chapter unfurls in these hallowed pages. My quest stands before me, etched in runes of responsibility and promise. The tasks are manifold, each a stepping stone toward glory and wisdom:

  1. Prepare for WTRBUS 100 and BUSINESS 111 – Foundational spells of strategy and commerce, the very bedrock of my future endeavors.
  2. Sharpen my academic blade – No worthy mage enters battle unarmed, and knowledge is the keenest edge I can wield.
  3. Excel and Coding Mastery – Essential incantations of the modern realm, to be summoned without fault when needed.
  4. Deepen my understanding of BUSINESS 114 – Another arcane discipline of enterprise, its mysteries awaiting my deciphering.
  5. Secure essential supplies – A vigilant traveler never neglects daily provisions: baskets, toiletries, items of self-care.
  6. Borrow a book – One single tome may hold the key to unlocking entire realms of power and insight.
  7. Pay the accommodation fee for the next fortnight – The fortress in which I dwell must remain secure.
  8. Banish the Late-Night Caffeine Curse – A silent specter, ever-threatening to sap my clarity and discipline.

Breaking the Late-Night Caffeine Curse

The midnight hour had come, but slumber eluded me. A single Red Bull, consumed at the witching hour of 11 PM, held me in its thrall till the bells tolled 2 AM. A rash decision, fueled by a desire for sharper focus amidst my late-night studies in the computer hall.

Yet, the enchantment was double-edged: my clarity robbed and my energy drained. A warrior-scholar cannot fight on fractured rest. If I am to ascend these academic towers, I must be the master of both body and mind. Tonight, I shall not taste of this cursed brew.

“For the well-rested mind forges the sharpest sword.”

Morning Disruptions & A New Perspective

With dawn’s first light came the echo of hammer and chisel—renovations within the communal bath of my humble abode. Though groggy, I rose to face the day, cleansing both body and spirit before partaking of my morning sustenance.

Soon did I join Flynn, Ben, and Jared, our conversation wandering through the realms of history, religion, and culture. Their knowledge was profound, and I found myself but a novice in their midst. At that moment, I recognized a gap in my own library of learning.

Ignorance, I have learned, is not a curse but a summons to action—a clarion call to bolster one’s understanding. Auckland, this grand mosaic of cultures, brims with scholars of every persuasion. How can I hope to lead, to stand at the forefront of enterprise, if I am ignorant of the world beyond the halls of business?

“In every conversation lies a field of battle; in every unknown, an uncharted realm to conquer.”

The Scholar’s Dilemma

Whispers of great visionaries—Steve Jobs, Elon Musk—fill the corridors of my thoughts. They question the necessity of formal schooling in a world where knowledge flows freely, unbound by gate or guardian. Indeed, the digital age offers infinite tomes at our fingertips.

I stand at a crossroads, a first-year acolyte in the arts of business. The paradox? Much of what the university imparts is already seeded in my mind, thanks to my father’s early tutelage. My true proving ground is not the intricacies of commerce, but rather the mastery of a foreign tongue—English, the language of this vast realm.

Should my command of English become absolute, would these university halls still hold such allure? Or would I find that everything I need—every art and incantation—is already mine to grasp through unbound study?

Yet the path is not finished. My story is still in its early pages, and the choices I make now shall shape the epic I become.

Nocturnal Studies & Arcane Exercises

Nightfall found me once more in the computer chamber. My first labor: delving into BUSINESS 114 Assignment 01, weaving a cash budget for a humble ice cream venture and interpreting its flow to enhance its fortunes. When uncertain about employing the powers of ChatGPT for the final inquiry, I resolved to seek counsel from Prof. Rouse—to ensure my methods remain virtuous in the eyes of the academy. Fortune smiled upon me, for I had studied accounting before, which eased my burden. Without that prior knowledge, the trials would have been formidable indeed.

Next, I continued my training in Excel and coding, two pillars of modern magic. Though new to coding, I found it surprisingly within my grasp, my mind able to mold to the arcane syntax of these commands. Such skills, once perfected, shall serve me well in the labyrinth of finance.

With Week 3’s tasks nearly vanquished, I yearn to refine my command of each subject further. A shadow looms, however: I have neglected to make thorough notes and read the assigned WTRBUS 100 textbook. The texts lie in wait, brimming with the knowledge I must absorb.

“If I truly desire the mantle of the billionaire, I must walk the path of action and diligence—no more illusions, no more excuses.”

Anxiety and stress have become my uneasy companions since I journeyed from Japan to New Zealand. The cause is clear: English is my second language, and with it comes countless trials. My first and greatest quest here is to attain true fluency.

Yet the burdens do not end there. I must also excel in my coursework, breathe life into my fledgling business ideas, and forge bonds of fellowship for a fuller life. It is no wonder the weight feels immense. But to falter now is to surrender the destiny I seek.

Tasks for the Coming Day

To fortify myself for the next trial, I must plan with intent, inscribing my pledges upon these pages:

  1. Refine my understanding of BUSINESS 111, BUSINESS 114, and INFOSYS 110 – Strengthen the foundations of commerce and information sorcery.
  2. Complete the academic skills tasks for BUSINESS 111 and WTRBUS 100 – Lay the groundwork of knowledge and technique.
  3. Read the sacred text for WTRBUS 100 thoroughly and craft worthy notes – Let no critical insight escape my grasp.
  4. Pursue further Excel and coding exercises if time permits – Every bit of practice steels my will and skill.
  5. Engage in English practice – Each word I learn is another arrow in my quiver, each phrase a shield to guard my aspirations.
  6. Study securitization – Envision real-world applications for my grander business ambitions, forging a roadmap from dream to reality.
